Pinterest, the social network for sharing found images, introduced mental health support directly in the app last week. If the user types a search that might indicate mental health issues, such as "work anxiety," "stress quotes," or "where's my Klick Wire" (that last one the author added -Ed.) then the app will provide some resources the user can choose to open.



While separation anxiety from the Klick Wire may not be a DSM-5 condition, other mental health issues may be helped by this system. The content was developed with partners:


These guided activities were created with the help of emotional health experts at Brainstorm, the Stanford Lab for Mental Health Innovation, and with advice from Vibrant Emotional Health and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Each practice offers people an interactive way to try to improve their mood–from tools to help someone relax to self-compassion exercises.
