As the Director of Project Management for the Marketing Solutions department, Steve leads his to team to practice strategic project planning and effective client interaction to ensure a seamless execution of each client initiative and program.
Why are you passionate about health and wellness?
It is so important to be conscious of our own personal health. Health is one of the first things that people tend to ignore given the busyness of our everyday lives. In order to keep myself in check I have become an active user of a digital activity tracker called FitBit. This tool helps to ensure that I am getting in the proper amount of physical activity each day. I now strive to incorporate activity as much as possible whether I’m playing sports or choosing to take the stairs at work instead of the elevator.
What excites you about technology and its role in healthcare?
The use of technology can be used to build a sophisticated patient support program. During the patient’s use of the drug, they can continue to gain additional information at the ease of a click of a button. They are no longer relying on direct mail or additional visits to the doctor’s office. They are able to share success stories, and sign up to email campaigns to get the latest information on the drug they are taking.
What are your passions outside of work?
Outside of work, I love to play and watch all types of sports. During the summer, you can catch me at a Jays game or playing baseball outside or in the winter shooting hoops with my friends. I also do love to spend my weekend evenings trying new restaurants eating all different types of food.
