The research survey was conducted through online and telephone polls over two weeks in November 2014 by Survey Sampling International. The responses, from a sample of all US adults with diabetes, came from 2,000 diabetic adults (1,800 on computers and 200 on landline or cellular telephones). The margin of error is +/- 2% at the 95% confidence interval.
