U.S. News has created a doctor appointment tool with Doximity that allows patients to schedule time when they search. The tool is powered by Doximity and provides a lot of results.
“For over 25 years, U.S. News has helped patients in search of reliable health care information find the best hospital to treat their specific needs,” said Evan Jones, Vice President & General Manager, Healthcare & Insights Groups at U.S. News. “With this expansion of our partnership with Doximity through our new online appointment booking service, we are increasing our ability to deliver high-quality and on-demand medical information to patients looking to connect with top healthcare providers.”
Doximity is likely looking to show HCPs that their profiles on the service are valuable and they should claim them (that allows the physician to make changes -Ed.). Also, the more claimed accounts Doximity has, the more it is valuable to pharma marketers.
Tools like this are now competing with technology-driven tools like Google’s virtual assistant which books the appointment for you.
