A new infographic from Global Web Index looks at how the generations (Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Boomers) are using social platforms. The report doesn't include Snapchat, likely because it is global data and Snap is still very North America focused.
YouTube and Facebook continue to dominate social with the now-systemic dip in Facebook’s youngest users. What is intriguing in the infographic is the amount of brand research happening on social platforms. We have the notion that social is good for awareness but search is where it’s at for research. The numbers say that it is much closer than we thought:
It might be time to look at rebalancing our social content across the sales funnel / patient journey. It’s not just for awareness any more.
