Sprout Social looked at small business use of social and found that traffic generation was only #3 on the list. Pharma has traffic as its number one tactic at 61% of ads (in the Klick Health Social Benchmarks report -Ed.) so this might highlight a difference for smaller firms.

Social marketers might consider some experiments in on-platform message delivery rather than just traffic generation and see if that can move the needle without driving patients to websites.
