Whether social channels are used for news is of critical importance for marketers in technical fields such as healthcare. The acquisition of news in these channels indicates both a level of convenience and trust that is otherwise hard to measure.

Taken together we can see that, while Reddit and Twitter dominate in terms of users looking for news, Facebook has the greatest reach because of its massive population:
