Duchesnay had their brief moment in the FDA spotlight with their infamous Kim Kardashian post on Instagram that failed to include any safety information (though we suspect the retraction may have provided even more reach for the drug maker's brand -Ed.).
The company has partnered with Emily Maynard Johnson, who appeared on ABC’s The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, with some Instagram posts and a takeover of the corporate Twitter handle for #Bumpday. Dean Hopkins, general manager, Duchesnay USA has three pieces of advice for others looking at Instagram (all quotes):
- It needs to fit the personality of the spokesperson
- The timing and images used are crucial in garnering engagement
- The story needs to be genuine – if your spokesperson is sharing a true story, it will resonate with the audience
