Apple Passbook

The release of Apple’s iOS6 in late September 2012 brought a number of significant advances and refinements to their mobile platform, including the introduction of their own Maps app, more sophisticated geofencing capabilities, and the debut of the Passbook app among about 200 other minor improvements. iOS6 has met wide adoption by iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad users, achieving installation in over 60% of devices by mid-October 2012.
