Last week there were four product announcements in the mHealth space that point to where the industry is going:
- Amblyoplay:Â an app that helps treat “lazy eye” with daily exercises. There is no indication this product is certified by the FDA.
- MySpira:Â an app that helps children learn about asthma and the medications that treat it. Since this product is informational, it’s unlikely it requires FDA clearance.
- Biobeat:Â a device that measures three cardiovascular metrics, blood pressure, oxygenation and heart rate.
- Natural Cycles:Â provided data from 125,000 women and 600,000 menstrual cycles to show natural variations.
These announcements highlight the themes of therapies, tracking, and data analysis in the mHealth market.
