Physicians say online drug reviews influence prescription behavior

SERMO has had its drug ratings tool (SDR) available for over a year now and the company decided it was time to see what physicians think about the ability to get other doctors' feedback on treatments.

What they found was a population of specialists who respect and value the opinions of their peers, and are willing to change prescribing behaviors based on them.

“Patients in the real world are more complex than those that participate in clinical trials. Physicians have always consulted each other for advice about the best course of therapy, relying on one another. Although clinical studies are the foundation by which physicians evaluate drugs, those studies cannot offer real world experience. Drug Ratings lets global doctors share those real-world insights at scale,” said SERMO CEO Peter Kirk.

SERMO is presenting this data in a webinar on Thursday, Nov 2(this week! -Ed.) in conjunction with MM&M. Hopefully the video will be available for anyone who can’t make it. Sign up even if you are booked then so you get the information after the webinar.
