The WebAward program, now in its 17th year, is the longest running annual website competition dedicated to naming the best websites in 96 different industries, and setting the standard of excellence in web development. Last week they announced their 2013 batch of winners, and we’re proud to say that 5 of our sites have been recognized.

Best Blog: Digital Rx: The Klick Health Blog

Digital Rx: The Klick Blog

Digital Rx: The Klick Blog

Among the sites recognized this year is this one, Digital Rx! Not only was this site recognized for being the best blog in the healthcare/pharma industry, it was recognized as the Best Blog Website in the entire competition! We’re ridiculously proud of the things we’ve been able to achieve with this website and are delighted to be able to share it with our most important critics – you!

But of course, as much as we love bringing the healthcare marketing world the latest and greatest in digital marketing news, we’re dedicated to building effective and informative resources for the patients and healthcare practitioners that rely on the tools we’re able to provide with our clients. And this year, we’ve definitely made a splash with many of our sites.

This year, the WebAward program recognized 4 of the sites we’ve built together with our clients, spanning the consumer, HCP and unbranded markets. These award-winning sites are:

Outstanding Website: My Multiple Myeloma

My Multiple Myeloma

My Multiple Myeloma

MyMultipleMyeloma.com is a useful resource connecting and educating multiple myeloma patients and caregivers. Genuinely reflecting the patient journey, the site leverages relationships with unbranded multiple myeloma patient ambassadors who’ve partnered with Millennium:  The Takeda Oncology Company. This year, the WebAwards recognized My Multiple Myeloma as an Outstanding Website!

Pharmaceuticals Standard of Excellence: AMPYRA.com Consumer Site

AMPYRA.com takes those living with MS on a personally relevant journey—from educating themselves about MS-related walking impairment, to demonstrating the benefits of AMPYRA. And, the site empowers consumers to discuss walking-related issues with their doctors. The WebAward program recognized this site as setting the Pharmaceuticals Standard of Excellence in this year’s competition.

Pharmaceuticals Standard of Excellence: AMPYRA.com HCP Site

AMPYRA-hcp.com is an integral part of Acorda’s dedicated efforts to keep MS-related walking difficulty, one of the most challenging aspects of MS, top of mind among HCPs. This site was also recognized by the WebAward program as setting the Pharmaceuticals Standard of Excellence in 2013.

Outstanding Website: Turn to Help

Turn to Help

TurntoHelp.com aims to help people living with opioid dependence self-identify, learn about treatment options, and ultimately encourage them to begin their treatment journey. This website was recognized as an Outstanding Website in this year’s program.

Last year we won our very first WebAward and are so proud to be able to quintuple that number this year! As we’re working hard every day to shape the future of digital health, setting the standard of excellence in web development is just one more stepping stone to making that possible. We can’t wait to see what the future brings… See you there!

The Program

For those of you unfamiliar with the WebAward program, here’s a little information about what they’re all about:

The WebAward program is produced by the Web Marketing Association (WMA). The Web Marketing Association was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and development of the best websites on the World Wide Web. Staffed by volunteers, this organization is made up of Internet marketing, online advertising, PR, and top web site design professionals who share an interest in improving the quality of online advertising, internet marketing, and website promotion.
