Growing company reaffirms its commitment to diversity and inclusion
after being recognized as one of the 2016 Best Workplaces for Women
TORONTO, ON – November 23, 2016 – Klick Inc. proudly announced that both its President Lori Grant and Director of Events Sarah Jacobs Barrs are being recognized as two of the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) 2016 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winners.
Today’s news follows the recent appointment of Klick Senior Vice President and Managing Director Heidi Forman into the Canadian Healthcare Marketing Hall of Fame for making a lasting impact on others.
“We couldn’t be more proud of Lori, Sarah, and Heidi and we congratulate them on their continued accomplishments,” said Klick Co-Founder and CEO Leerom Segal. “Individually, they have each worked hard to make their mark at Klick and in the business world at large. At Klick, their collective high standards and dedication to their craft, colleagues, and clients unite them as leaders who contribute significantly to our culture and success.”
In being named to WXN’s Top 100, Grant and Jacobs Barrs join a prestigious community of women trailblazers who have won the award, including iconic author Margaret Atwood; astronaut Dr. Roberta Bondar, former Governor General of Canada Michaëlle Jean, and Indigo Books & Music Founder and CEO Heather Reisman. Launched in 2003, the Top 100 Awards recognize talented leaders in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors and work to inspire current and future generations to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Joining the ranks of iconic Canadian leaders on the WXN Top 100
Grant, named a WXN Corporate Executive honoree, has dedicated over 25 years of strategic leadership and excellence to the healthcare marketing industry in Canada and the U.S. She was named Klick President in December 2014 and has overseen the company’s thriving client roster, contributing significantly to its growth and overall success for a decade. Before joining Klick, she held senior-level roles at large global network agencies and spent the first 11 years of her career within large pharmaceutical companies’ over-the-counter (OTC) and specialty marketing groups. Earlier this year, she was named one of the 100 Most Inspiring People in Health, inducted into Medical Marketing & Media (MM&M) magazine’s inaugural Hall of Femme, and honored with a PM360 ELITE Mentor award.
“I’m thrilled to join such a highly accomplished and respected group of leaders who continually raise the bar in business,” said Grant. “I draw inspiration from the limitless thinkers who surround me as we work to push beyond the status quo and make a real difference in the world.”
Jacobs Barrs, named a WXN Future Leader, has orchestrated large-scale fundraising events across North America for high-profile foundations from Women of Influence, to Mount Sinai Hospital, to SickKids Foundation since 2007. She has produced hundreds of events raising millions of dollars for charity organizations. Since joining Klick in early 2015, she has led the execution of numerous event concepts that have changed the face of health industry events, including the award-winning MUSE and Klick Ideas Exchange.
“I feel extremely privileged to be recognized as a WXN Future Leader alongside such incredible women from whom we can all learn and be inspired by as they continue to pave the way for women leaders,” Jacobs Barrs said.
As a member of the Canadian Healthcare Marketing Hall of Fame, Forman has dedicated her entire career to patient care. A former respiratory therapist, she made the move to healthcare marketing 25 years ago. Before joining Klick, Forman worked at large, network advertising agencies, including Medicus Canada where she served as Managing Director. For the last five years, she has led one of Klick’s key business groups for primary care and specialty brands, as well as enterprise technology solutions to drive efficiencies and best-practices in healthcare marketing.
After being named to the Hall of Fame, Forman said, “I’m incredibly honoured by this recognition. Ours is a profession where personal and professional growth merge beautifully because of the significant impact our work can have on healthcare providers and their patients.”
