Klick named a Best Managed Company for 9th consecutive year

Company approaches milestone anniversary with unwavering focus on its people, outcomes over optics, and inoculation against the status quo

TORONTO, ON – March 9, 2017 – Klick Inc. was today named a 2017 Best Managed Company for excellence in business performance for the ninth consecutive year. The company was also included in the prestigious Best Managed Companies’ Platinum Club for its longstanding exceptional management practices for the third year in a row.

“Best Managed companies deserve recognition for their entrepreneurial approach to excelling in an uncertain economic climate. They truly bring out the best in Canadian business leadership,” said Peter Brown, Partner, Deloitte and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program. “What’s more, Best Managed Platinum winners have exceptional insights and knowledge into business management practices. They are an inspiration and really take their game to a new level.”

Klick CEO Leerom Segal said, “As we approach our 20th anniversary, we strive to ensure our best keeps getting better and we’re proud of our legacy as a Best Managed Company. Our business has significantly grown and evolved over the years, but our commitment to put our people first, prioritize outcomes over optics, and inoculate ourselves against the status quo has not wavered.”

As part of its mandate to foster leadership and development, Klick invested in a number of initiatives over the last year:

  • The Klick Academy eLearning program was expanded to provide more customized coaching and training.
  • Klick hosted a Choose Your Own Adventure Managers’ offsite and Radical Listening workshops with Janet Kestin and Nancy Vonk of the creative leadership consultancy Swim Program. It also held its Conscious Leadership Summit to inspire Klicksters to lead with intention and purpose to open up more possibilities for greater engagement and innovation.
  • Philanthropic Leadership Pipeline trips to Ecuador and Tanzania were organized, resulting in 26 Klicksters helping build schools with WE Charity. The first 2017 Leadership Pipeline trip is leaving for Kenya later this month.

The company is also gearing up for a 24-hour internal hackathon. Klickster intrapreneurs, designers, coders, inventors, creative team members, and project managers are forming teams to develop innovative hacks to make working at the culture-obsessed company even better.

Demonstrating its commitment to people-centric, data-driven practices, Klick recently added a celebratory dashboard to its Genome enterprise operating system to recognize and pay tribute to Klicksters who contribute the most eLearning content, social feed comments and likes, peer recognition (Kudos), and other culture and engagement activities on the award-winning OS.

Earlier this week, Klick was named a Best Workplace for Women for the second consecutive year and announced it was turning International Women’s Day into a month-long celebration of diversity and inclusion. Last spring, Klick spearheaded the #ASeatForAll virtual sit-in to raise awareness and funds for LGBTQ workplace inclusion programs. Klick conducts regular pay fairness reviews, offers maternity leave top-ups, flexible childcare options, complimentary on-site fitness and wellness programs, and access to work/life balance counseling services among its standard benefits.
