I focus on the big picture of our approach to technology, working on the technical relationships with our clients, particularly as a liaison to IT and business technology groups, as well as technical application development and technical sales. I’m also the lead architect for Genome, our internal intelligent system that keeps Klick running as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
Why are you passionate about health and wellness?
Like many of my colleagues, I found a renewed interest in healthcare with the birth of my son. I want to stick around as long as I can! I try to focus on the wellness aspect of health, eating properly and making sure that my mental health gets as much focus as my physical health does.
What excites you about technology and its role in healthcare?
The intersection of healthcare and computers is really in the pioneer days. The simple fact that sharing records is so difficult means that much time is wasted by professionals that could be better spent elsewhere. The game-ification of health through recording and aggregating metrics online is a great boon for those that like that kind of interaction and competition. Possibly the biggest benefit that computers bring to health is the ability to communicate more easily with those with the same health conditions. It is much easier to get advice, support, nutritional information, etc.
What are your passions outside of work?
Cooking, music (listening and playing), photography, and programming.
